ROH responds to Taeler Hendrix sex claims

Ring of Honor has issued a statement in response to allegations made by former ROH wrestler Taeler Hendrix.

Real name Taeler Conrad-Mellen, the 29-year-old star claimed on Twitter this week that a male wrestler told her she’d been “taken off TV” and  her career “sabotaged” for refusing to sleep with him.

She followed this up with further comments about the situation on Instagram and in other tweets.

An ROH spokesperson said:

“We were troubled to hear the allegations that surfaced last night on Twitter. We take these matters very seriously and will be investigating this situation thoroughly, reviewing all evidence related to the matter. Ring of Honor strives to provide an environment and workplace where male and female wrestlers are free from any misconduct or abuse. We will take appropriate action upon the conclusion of our findings.”

Hendrix worked for ROH in 2010 and then again from 2015-17.

She said that her attorneys were involved in an ongoing investigation into the matter.

The wrestler concerned – who we are not naming for legal reasons – has not yet responded to the allegation.

Posting on Twitter, Taeler Hendrix said:

“Let the hate roll in. Doesn’t change what happened. I came forward privately a long time ago and now it’s public. If I stay silent I’ll be part of the problem. I can’t live w/that. I’ll fight for what’s right.

“I know this is going to be on wrestling sites. My name is Taeler & this is my statement: attorneys on my behalf have an ongoing investigation. I know I’m not the only one & ppl that have known of this investigation have been supportive. I’ll continue to fight for what’s right.

“Silence is acceptance that allows a corrupt system to divide & conquer. I don’t accept that anymore. Silence is deafening and acceptance is blinding. We deserve better.”

In an Instagram post, she wrote:

“This sort of attention is vicious. People from all over the world threatening me, my family, my job, the Mae Young Classic (as if they had that power lol), and my career will not deter me any longer.”

In a further post yesterday she tweeted: “In adversity you find out who your friends are.”
