There was a title change at night one of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
With the NXT Tag Team Championship on the line, The Family’s Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo defended against Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson with Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne at ringside.
While there was a competitive match, in the end a bit of NXT chicanery in the finish as Jayne attempted to sneak D’Angelo’s crowbar to Andre Chase.
When the Chase U leader declined to use it, he was still able to spring an attack on Tony D’Angelo and capture the pinfall victory with a roll-up.
Duke Hudson and Andre Chase are the newest NXT Tag Team Champions and celebrated in the ring with Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail.
Still to come in the night’s main event, Becky Lynch defends her NXT Women’s Championship against challenger Lyra Valkyria.
With new NXT tag team champions in Chase U, a Devil’s Playground match and even a championship getting stolen, Halloween Havoc has already been a packed show.
