What Vince McMahon Investigation Ending Means For Potential WWE Return WWE

A new report has revealed what the ending of the Vince McMahon investigation means for a potential WWE return.

As previously reported, WWE announced that the investigation into Vince McMahon’s sexual misconduct allegations is officially over in their third quarter filings earlier today.

In the statement, “Mr. McMahon can effectively exercise control over our affairs” was mentioned and led many to believe this indicated that McMahon could possibly be coming back.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that one WWE spokesperson said that Vince McMahon is “done, done”, and would not be returning to the roles that were taken over by Triple H and several others.

The report also reads:

“Another longtime WWE employee said that while they initially had reservations, hesitations and fears regarding McMahon’s departure and him possibly quickly coming back, that’s no longer the case. They went as far as to say that everyone in charge realizes that would be a major step back for the company, and that today’s filing instilled even more confidence in those that thought McMahon leaving would be a blow to the company.”

It remains to be seen if or when Vince McMahon will make an appearance in front of fans on WWE programming, but a return is definitely not in the plans right now.

During today’s third quarter conference call, Triple H detailed his creative outlook in his new role since Vince McMahon’s departure.
