AEW star Kyle Fletcher of Aussie Open has shared praise for Will Ospreay following his incredible bout at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
At the June 25 crossover pay-per-view, Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega to win back the IWGP US Championship in a match that many fans have argued is the best of 2023 so far.
Speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Fletcher revealed that he was one of the first people to greet Ospreay after he came back through the curtain.
Hoping to one day be as skilled as his United Empire teammate, Fletcher said:
“I got to be there & hug Will as soon as he came back & tell him how proud of him I was.
“He’s the greatest wrestler alive today without a doubt in my mind & I hope I can get even close to his level one day”
More details have emerged on the Ospreay vs Omega match, including information on the planning, and the aftermatch, which you can read more about right here.
Ospreay has now released new merchandise surrounding a scary spot from the bout, which you can view at this link.
