WWE’s AJ Styles has teased a future that sees him with a shaved head, a styles that he feels would make him look like Austin Theory.
It has now been almost five months since AJ Styles hung up his boots in WWE after an over 25 year career between the ropes.
After losing to GUNTHER at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, Styles has since moved into a talent coaching role at the WWE PC and been inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame class alongside Stephanie McMahon, Demolition, Dennis Rodman, Sycho Sid and Bad News Brown.
While he may not be on WWE TV any longer, fans can continue to see Styles on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, and the former two-time WWE Champion has teased that a brand new, wholly different look could be inbound for him soon.
Taking to Twitter, Styles shared a mock picture of himself with a short, buzz cut hair style (see below) – something drastically different than the longer locks that he’s sported for over a decade.
Along with the picture, Styles questioned whether fans want to see him pull the trigger on the change of look, whilst also pointing out that doing so would make him look like Austin Theory.
Styles wrote:
Is this what you want?! I kinda look like @_Theory1
It’s not clear whether Styles is actually planning on, at the very least, trimming his long hair, but in the comments of his post, many fans called for “The Phenomenal One” to bring back his classic short hair look that he was known for in TNA Wrestling.
We will provide further updates if Styles does in fact change his look in the future.

Austin Theory returned with a shaved down haircut when he joined The Vision in late 2025
The Vision’s Game Plan Remains The Same Despite Logan Paul Injury Says Austin Theory
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23, Logan Paul suffered a triceps tear during his and Austin Theory’s World Tag Team Title defense against the Street Profits.
While this appeared to initially lead Theory to believe that he’d have to give up the gold, Paul Heyman informed him that stablemate Bron Breakker would be taking Paul’s place as Theory’s partner, meaning that the group’s title reign could continue.
During a recent interview with WWE France, Theory confirmed that The Vision were utilising the “Freebird Rule” which allows any two members of a faction to defend the tag team championships.
So, while it is Breakker and Theory now, we could potentially see the former United States Champion defend the gold with Bronson Reed when he returns from injury, or perhaps even a future new recruit for The Vision.
As well as the already teased addition of Maxxine Dupri, WWE are reportedly considering adding more new members to The Vision, so we could see their World Tag Team Championship reign continue for the foreseeable future.
