WWE Botches Big Match Announcement? WWE

WWE appears to have botched the announcement of a Cody Rhodes vs Shinsuke Nakamura match, following recent interactions between the two stars.

Nakamura attacked Rhodes on the November 27 edition of Raw, blowing red mist into the American Nightmare’s face.

Ahead of Monday’s (December 4) episode, WWE advertised a segment in which Rhodes would address this attack.

A different segment was advertised on WWE.com, with an article shared on Monday stating that the duo were set to face off in a match.

WWE shared the following preview for this ‘clash’ ahead of this week’s show:

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will look for payback against Shinsuke Nakamura as the two Superstars will battle it out in the ring.

Last week saw the crafty Nakamura launch a sneak attack on Rhodes, blinding him with the dangerous red mist and leaving The American Nightmare down in a heap.

This match ultimately didn’t happen, with Cody Rhodes appearing to address the attack, and to issue a challenge Nakamura for a future match.

Interestingly, Cody Rhodes was in his wrestling gear for this segment, rather than a suit. While some have speculated that the match was pulled from the show, it appears that this preview was posted too early, and was meant to be advertising this match for next week’s show.
