WWE’s Danhausen has reacted after successfully cursing the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, with AEW’s Swerve Strickland admitting that he’s now a “believer” after the events which transpired.

Of all the evidence that confirms the legitimacy of Danhausen’s cursing power since going WWE in February, his influence on the fortunes of the New York Knicks has to be the most full proof.

Ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42, the “Very Nice, Very Evil” star put a curse on ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who is well known to be a huge fan of the Knicks, and it seemed to have an immediate effect on their season as they struggled to put away the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Playoffs.

Ahead of Game 6 with the Hawks, Danhausen lifted the curse and the Knicks proceeded to win that game, before proceeding to sweep the Philadelphia 76ers 4-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Not only did Danhausen lift the curse on the Knicks, he went ahead and pointed a new curse at the Knicks opponents in the Eastern Conference Finals: the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Low and behold, the Knicks’ momentum did in fact continue in last night’s crucial tone-setter for the Eastern Finals, as Jalen Brunson inspired an improbable fourth quarter comeback that saw the Knicks come back from 22 points down, to win in overtime 115-104.

With little room left for naysayers anymore, Danhausen celebrated the Knicks’ win and the success of his cursing in a short video on Twitter, while also, not for the first time, making a request for some court side seats next to Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

Danhausen said:

“Danhausen told you the curse was real. We did it. Danhausen has cursed the Cavaliers.

“The Knicks have won and Danhausen has won. And now he’s owed court side seats in between Timothée Chamales (Chalamet) and Kylie Jenner. “Yes that’s right and then the curse will continue.”

Danhausen Has A New “Believer” In The Form Of AEW’s Swerve Strickland

With the evidence of Danhausen’s influence over the Knicks’ fortunes there for everyone to see, one of the WWE star’s former colleagues in AEW has acknowledged the power of his curse.

In reaction to Danhausen’s Twitter post following Game 1 between the Knicks and Cavaliers, Swerve Strickland admitted that he is now a “believer” in Danhausen’s cursing abilities.

He wrote:

Danhausen’s ESPN appearances and cursing and un-cursing of the Knicks reportedly saw the former AEW star praised by WWE President Nick Khan and Chief Content Officer Triple H during a recent WWE employee town hall meeting.

It was reportedly also noted that, in less than three months in the company, Danhausen has become WWE’s second highest merchandise seller, with three of his shirt designs featured in the company’s top five best sellers.
