Former WWE star Fabian Aicher (Giovanni Vinci) has filed to trademark ‘Il Gladiatore’ following his TNA Wrestling debut.

This past Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact went off the air with Aichner making his first appearance in the promotion and first appearance in wrestling since his WWE release in May 2025.

He came out onto the stage to confront Cedric Alexander, who had just won the X-Division Championship from Leon Slater.

The loss for Slater meant his reign came in tying the record for longest ever reign with Austin Aries, as opposed to actually breaking the record.

On May 19, Aichner filed to trademark Il Gladiatore (Italian for The Gladiator) with the United States Patent & Trademark Office with the following description:

As noted, Aichner was released by WWE in May 2025 after spending almost 10 years with the company having started in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic tournament.

He later formed a tag team with Marcel Barthel (Ludwig Kaiser) which grew into Imperium with the additions of WALTER (GUNTHER) and Alexander Wolfe in NXT UK and NXT.

In 2022, Kaiser and GUNTHER were called up to the main roster without Aichner, leading to him being repackaged as Giovanni Vinci and spending a few months in NXT on his own before he was called up to join them and re-form the group.

However, in 2024, he was attacked by Kaiser and split away from the group, leading to a brief and unsuccessful singles run on SmackDown before WWE decided to release him.

Tiffany Stratton recently stated that social media rumors claiming Aichner was fired for ‘flirting’ with her when she was in a relationship with Kaiser are not true.
