New Dolph Zigger Post-WWE Appearance Confirmed

New Dolph Zigger Post-WWE Appearance Confirmed WWE

Dolph Ziggler was released from his WWE contract on September 21 after almost twenty years with the company.

Following the news of his release, there was a groundswell of support for the two-time World Heavyweight Champion.

Among the names to show their love of Ziggler were Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena and members of the AEW roster.

IMPACT Wrestling’s PCO would also confirm that the company soon to be rebranded to TNA had an interest in signing Ziggler.

Following his release, Ziggler, real name Nic Nemeth, returned to the comedy circuit for the Hunkamania Holiday Tour with his brother, AEW’s Ryan Nemeth.

He’s set to return to the wrestling world in January 2024, as confirmed by MCW Pro Wrestling.

In their press release for MCW Fan Jam and MCW Anniversary on February 4, 2024, the company announced:

“MCW Fan Jam 2” kicks off the day from 12 PM to 4 PM, featuring an impressive lineup of wrestling superstars including former #WWE stars @SuperKingOfBros Matt Riddle and @HeelZiggler Nick Nemeth, known as “FKA Dolph Ziggler.” The event also boasts appearances by @RealEllsworth, @NWA Wrestling Stars @RealNMarkova & @TheBryanIdol, and former #ECW Star @BlueMeanieBWO, among others. This fan-centric event offers meet-and-greet sessions, autograph opportunities, and more, making it an unforgettable experience for wrestling enthusiasts of all ages.”

The press release would confirm that the evening show would include “a match featuring Matt Riddle”.

Eric Bischoff, who has often spoken highly of Nemeth’s time in WWE, has previously said that he now has “the option to pursue fun rather than finance.”

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross also stated that he thinks Nemeth will return to WWE “when the dust settles.”
