A WWE star has admitted to a sense of “hesitation” over their recent tag team pairing, having had issues with their partner previously.

The current WWE Women’s United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton has found herself with a target on her back, but also formed a new alliance with Chelsea Green.

During a period that saw Green restricted to a wheelchair, the star would continue to needle Stratton, only for the pair to end up teaming together more recently.

Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, Stratton shared her thoughts on her new partnership, saying:

“I love working with Chelsea Green. She is somebody that makes the most out of any segment, any match, she’s gonna make her TV time worthwhile. I love being paired with Chelsea.

“I think there was a little bit of hesitation there because I felt like for the past year, it kind of felt like she would kick me when I was down. She wasn’t really ever wanting to be my friend, and then all of a sudden she wants to be besties with me. So, I was a little hesitant at first, and I think now she’s kind of won me over a little bit. I’m coming around.

“I really enjoy being with her, working with her, talking with her. Very interesting person, I love her.”

Stratton and Green recently teamed together on the June 29 episode of WWE SmackDown joining Charlotte Flair in a loss to B-Fab, Jade Cargill & Michin.

More recently, Tiffany Stratton saw a victory over Jacy Jayne in the Interim WWE Women’s Championship qualifier to determine a temporary title holder at SummerSlam due to Rhea Ripley’s absence.

Chelsea Green May Not Be Coveting A Friendship

Whether she’s in the ring or in a backstage segment, Chelsea Green has been recognized as a star that “maximises her minutes” on screen.

Recently, those minutes have seen her drawn into the orbit of Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton, two stars who previously feuded in the rup up to WrestleMania 41, with a “super personal” promo being a notable point in that rivalry.

For Green, however, there’s every chance that she is coveting something other than the friendship she has built with Stratton.

A two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion, Green holds that record with Giulia, and there’s little doubt that an opportunity will emerge for the star to break the tie.

Perhaps that moment will come at the cost of the friendship with Stratton, leaving the hopeful star to handle the sting of that particular betrayal by the star that she “loves”.
