In case you’ve missed it, WWE is hyping the upcoming Backlash match between Randy Orton and Edge as the Greatest Wrestling Match ever. So, what do you do to hype a match that will realistically never live up to that hype?
You bring in arguably one of the greatest actual professional wrestlers ever. Ric Flair is advertised for the show tonight.
He is said to be making an appearance on Raw with the purpose of giving his thoughts on the match.

Based on the above tweet, this seems likely to be a video appearance. It does not specifically mention him appearing live in person.
While Flair may not be coming in person, there will be additional attendees there tonight. NXT Wrestlers will be appearing in the crowd to give the show more of a realistic feel.

This comes after AEW has been having limited amounts of wrestlers ringside. Although, you could argue Saturday night’s crowd at Double or Nothing wasn’t exactly limited.
It will be interesting to see how having a handful of people there changes WWE’s atmosphere.
