In the NXT main event tonight (February 21) a major match for the NXT Championship featuring champ Bron Breakker defending against a familiar face.
After coming out to challenge Breakker last week, this week’s title bout featured former WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal looking to claim NXT’s biggest prize.
The match had been rolling along until the Creed Brothers appeared in attempt to neutralize Mahal’s advantage in the towering Indus Sher who had accompanied him to the ring.
As the big back and forth match up went into the final third, there were powerful moves left to come.
Including a vicious running knee from Mahal and monster sized Frankensteiner from Breakker, there were plenty of big moves in the match.
But finally in the end, Bron Breakker continued to stand tall as NXT Champion as he put away Jinder Mahal via pinfall after a big spear in the middle of the ring.
However, after the match there was a “production truck takeover” from Grayson Waller!
Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT, a star made his in-ring return after four months away from action and a faction targeted a very interesting new recruit.
Also, Booker T got in on the recent trend of WWE commentators throwing shade at AEW’s Tony Khan. You can read all about that by clicking here.
