WWE is planning to start off 2024 with a bang as there have been even more big matches announced for the special WWE Raw Day 1 edition show.
In addition to the previously reported Nia Jax versus Becky Lynch for the first time ever match announced for Day 1, there were more matches announced for the next live edition of WWE Raw.
Raw will return live on January 1, 2024 with a special ‘Day 1’ edition, featuring the aforementioned match, the previously announced WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre as well as two new matches.
Also announced, Ivy Nile will challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship and a number one contenders match as well.
After Kayden Carter and Katana Chance were able to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship earlier on Raw, now Day 1 is set to feature a rivalry to set up their potential next opponents.
Natalya and Tegan Nox will take on Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark and teams begin jockeying for position in the Women’s tag division.
Also an expected update at Day 1 – whether or not R-Truth is actually a member of Judgment Day after the opening match of tonight’s show saw him win a ‘loser leaves Judgment Day’ match against JD McDonagh.

With Michael Cole signing off ‘Happy Holidays everybody,’ and reminding about WWE Day 1 on January 1, it remains to be seen exactly what airs next Monday.
There are no scheduled plans for a live event on Christmas Day.
