A WWE star has posted their first comments following a rapturous return to action after over two months away from the ring.
During an eventful night on NXT that featured four championship contests, the aftermath of the NXT Women’s Championship match between Tiffany Stratton and Chase University’s Thea Hail saw a hectic two on one brawl break out as Duke Hudson was overwhelmed by Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey.
Thankfully for Hudson, the odds were evened by a returning Andre Chase who received a massive reaction from the live audience inside the Performance Center in Orlando.
Taking to Twitter following his return, Chase said:
A TEACHABLE MOMENT
I’ve been telling y’all #ChaseU has the best student section in the country.
We’re back and better than ever
Before adding a more personal reflection afterwards tweeting:
I can’t explain how much that reaction meant to me tonight. A very special moment in my career.
Chase’s last televised appearance prior to June 27 came in a very brief match with former NXT Champion Bron Breakker on April 25, with the injuries sustained during the match being the on-screen explanation for his hiatus.
While it was teased that Hudson and Chase could split up near the time of Chase’s layoff, the two were on the same page this week at least with Chase U seeming stronger than ever.
There were no title changes on NXT, but Baron Corbin did bring back a gimmick from his past for his NXT Championship match against Carmelo Hayes, which you can read about at this link.
