The UK government was recently asked about the impact of the upcoming WWE stadium show.
WWE will air a major event from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on September 3.
Pontypridd & Taff Ely MP Alex Davies-Jones brought this up in the House of Commons, asking the Leader of the Commons Mark Spencer if he’ll commit to a debate about the benefit of bringing big cultural sporting events to the UK.
Spencer called WWE a ‘great sport’, and stated that he’ll join Davies-Jones in celebrating this investment.
The show received a historic level of pre-sale interest, with over 59,000 fans pre-registered for tickets within the first 24 hours of the show’s announcement.
Drew McIntyre has named the WWE star he wants to face at the stadium show, which you can read more about right here.
