WWE Hall of Famer Edge has teased an appearance on NXT while celebrating his incredible pro-wrestling career.
25 years on from Edge’s WWE in-ring debut on the June 22, 1998, edition of Raw, WWE has been helping the Rated-R Superstar to celebrate his tenure with the company.
Edge returned to the ring on the July 7 edition of SmackDown, defeating rising star Grayson Waller at Madison Square Garden.
Speaking on SmackDown LowDown, Edge opened up about his life, noting that he feels lucky.
Hinting that he could wind up appearing on NXT soon, he said:
“It’s a celebration. This is my dream job. I wasn’t meant to do anything else in this world. This is what I was supposed to do, and I’m one of the lucky few that has found what he was supposed to do, and then did it.
“Not only did it, but (points to himself on a poster at Madison Square Garden). For me, this is insane.
“25 years here, to last that long, if you had told me at the beginning of all this that would be the case, that I’d be celebrating in Madison Square Garden, that next month I’d go to Toronto.
“Hell, I could go to Monday Night Raw and celebrate. I could go to NXT and celebrate. I could come back here to SmackDown and celebrate.
“All I know is this month, I’m going to have one hell of a time.”
NXT TV is currently building to the Great American Bash special, which will emanate from the H-E-B Center in Texas on July 30.
An update has emerged on plans for the NXT Title match at the upcoming show, which you can read more about right here.
