The Rock has teased the possibility of one more match with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker after WrestleMania 40.
The pair crossed paths on the April 7 Premium Live Event, as can be seen in the footage below this news story.
In the last episode of the 2020 limited series Undertaker: The Last Ride, he announced that he had retired from wrestling and has made occasional appearances in WWE since then.
A recent Instagram post, however, has teased the possibility of more to come, with The Rock posting:
“The guy sure knows how to ruin a party.
“I’ll see you down the road, my friend.
“Payback’s a b*tch for you – but fun for me.
“- Final Boss”
The Undertaker would reply with an ominous message of his own (that can be seen below), posting:
“The party doesn’t start until I walk in…I’m not hard to find! ⚱️”
At WrestleMania 36 in March 2020, The Undertaker wrestled his last match in the form of the Boneyard Match, defeating AJ Styles.
Reflecting on the events of WrestleMania 40, The Undertaker said that he had a sense of “closure“.
He also stated that he’s “not saying that (he) wouldn’t do something like that in the future.”
The Rock and Undertaker last crossed paths at WWE Vengeance in July 2002 with the future Final Boss defeating the Phenom for the WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat with Kurt Angle.
