During the opening segment of the September 17, 2018 episode of Monday night Raw, acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin announced that, streaming live on the WWE Network, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will play host to WWE Crown Jewel.

Corbin went on to add that, following the fallout from the controversial Hell in a Cell main event, Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar in a Triple Threat match at the show.
Ever since the Greatest Royal Rumble this past April, rumors have been rampant that WWE could be making a return to the kingdom of Saudi.
There are also reports that this event could mark the in-ring return of the ‘Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels.
