Final Battle is Ring of Honor‘s final pay per view of the year and another title match has been added to the card. As announced by ROH, Jeff Cobb will defend the Ring of Honor TV Championship against Hangman Page.
Should Page win the title, this may be a sign of the members of The Elite electing not to sign with WWE in January. Hangman Page will be looking to capture his first Ring of Honor singles championship when he goes one-on one with Jeff Cobb.
Jeff Cobb won the ROH TV Title from Punishment Martinez back in September. Cobb has been tearing up the independent scene in 2018, winning the ROH TV Title and the PWG Heavyweight Championship as well. Cobb also appeared on New Japan Pro Wrestling‘s G1 Special in San Francisco where he unsuccessfully challenged Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship. This will be Cobb’s first defence of the ROH TV Title.
The announcement comes shortly after Ring of Honor announced that Cody will challenge Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship in the main event of Final Battle. Cody has been chasing after a one-on-one rematch for the title after losing it to Dalton Castle one year ago. The show will likely be a key indication of where The Elite are likely to go next.
The updated card for ROH Final Battle is as follows:
- ROH World Championship – Jay Lethal (c) vs. Cody
- ROH TV Championship – Jeff Cobb (c) vs. Hangman Page
- Women of Honor Championship – Sumie Sekai (c) vs. Karen Q vs. Madison Rayne vs. TBD
- Dalton Castle vs. Matt Taven
