It was revealed at yesterday’s set of NXT UK TV tapings in Plymouth that WALTER will be defending the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Tyler Bate at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on August 31.
WALTER defeated Pete Dunne, who had held the gold for 685 days, at NXT TakeOver: New York on April 5, while Bate was crowned the inaugural champ back in January 2017, before Dunne beat him at TakeOver: Chicago.
WALTER vs. Bate is the second match confirmed for the Cardiff card, as it was announced on NXT UK TV this past Wednesday that Kay Lee Ray will challenge the brand’s Women’s Champion Toni Storm.
