The NXT team for the women’s Survivor Series elimination match was announced last night after TakeOver: WarGames.
Rhea Ripley, who captained her WarGames team to victory despite a four-on-two disadvantage (more on that in a second) appeared on Facebook live to announce she was NXT’s captain and confirmed the rest of her team.
Ripley will be joined by Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae and Toni Storm on Team NXT tonight.
Team Raw is captain Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Sarah Logan and the Kabuki Warriors, and SmackDown is captain Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke, Carmella and Nikki Cross.
Back to that four-on-two thing, if you missed WarGames, Mia Yim was attacked backstage before the show, and last minute was replaced by Dakota Kai.
Before Kai was released into the match, she turned on teammate Tegan Nox and attacked her injured leg. This led to Nox not being able to compete in the match and obviously Kai walked out.
Ripley and other teammate LeRae managed to survive though, and Ripley pinned Shayna Baszler to win the match.
The NXT men’s team will be announced by Shawn Michaels on the Survivor Series pre-show.
