Owen Hart was the focus of a recent Dark Side of the Ring episode that really got a lot of people talking. Now, it appears he will be the focus of an entire documentary set to be released in the early part of 2021.
UK-based sales agency Kaleidoscope Film Distribution announced at Cannes it will release a new documentary about tragic wrestling star Owen Hart simply called Owen.
The film is said to feature new interviews with his family and friends, including Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart. There will also be new archival family footage. Additional announcements about other wrestlers and people involved will be coming over the next few months.
Jo Lewis is directing the film, which is produced by Keaton Stone and Western Edge Pictures through Vaughan Sivell. Hart’s wife, Dr Martha Hart, is an executive producer, alongside Kaleidoscope CEO Spencer Pollard and Lee Brazier.
Owen Hart is a favorite of many fans and wrestlers alike. Many are clamoring for him to be included in the WWE Hall of Fame. Whether or not that happens, Owen will go down as one of best even if his career was cut tragically short.
