It was always a possibility that NXT could move out of the house but now it appears it is happening. Going forward, NXT will be taping their shows at the Performance Center rather than Full Sail University.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling made the report, saying the show will be moving starting with NXT Takeover 31. The show is set to take place this Sunday and will now air from the Performance Center. There had been speculation that the show would move to the Thunderdome but that didn’t happen either. This could possibly be due to the Thunderdome agreement ending in less than a month.
205Live will also reportedly be moving to the Performance Center.
Raw and Smackdown had been filmed at the Performance Center for the majority of the pandemic. Beginning in March, the shows ran out of the building until WWE moved to the Amway Center in late August. NXT also ran out of the Performer Center at the start of the pandemic but moved back to Full Sail University when the building reopened.
NXT’s relationship with Full Sail University dates back to their rebranding in 2012. Since then, the venue has been home to the weekly show for the better part of eight years.
