Tonight on AEW: Dynamite, AEW held a 4-Way match to determine the Number 1 Contender for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The four teams competing in the match were:
- The Young Bucks
- Private Party
- The Dark Order – John Silver and Alex Reynolds
- The Butcher and The Blade
In the end, it was The Young Bucks who would go on to win the match. In a nice callback spot to when Private Party upset The Bucks in the tag-team tournament to crown the first-ever tag team tournament, Private Party looked like they were going to roll-up Matt Jackson for the win. However, Jackson reversed it and got the win
The Young Bucks are now scheduled to face FTR at AEW: Full Gear. Well, if they are able to compete after a post-match attack.
After the match, FTR hit the ring and attacked Matt Jackson. They put his leg inside of a steel chair after Tully Blanchard, disguised as a time-keeper in a mask, helped attack the Bucks.

The announcers were really putting over the fact Matt Jackson may not be able to compete. Everyone wants to see The Bucks vs. FTR and Omega vs. Page at All Out. Wouldn’t be something if Page gets eliminated from the tournament next week, but fills in for Matt Jackson in the tag team championship match?
Sometimes, simple is better, but this would be a way to continue arguably the best storyline in wrestling.
