Here’s the latest news regarding the relationship between AEW and IMPACT Wrestling following last night’s monumental episode of Dynamite.
Fightful Select is reporting that some people in IMPACT had heard about what was going to go down with Omega winning the AEW World Title and appearing on next week’s IMPACT, but management had told them there wasn’t much to it.
On the AEW side of things, it was said that several people did know there was going to be some kind of angle with Don Callis, but weren’t sure exactly what it would entail.
Of the talent that Fightful spoke to, almost none of them expect this to result in a “full crossover”, but as you’d probably expect, IMPACT wrestlers are happy that the promotion is getting a lot of buzz from it.
Another interesting note is that this isn’t the first pitch between the two companies, so be sure to keep an eye out in case any more details become available regarding potential previous plans.
With IMPACT being pre-recorded, some people seem to be wondering how Omega would be able to be on the show. It’s expected that he’ll film his segment on the day the show airs (Tuesday) because there are IMPACT personnel flying in to work that day, and it’ll be inserted in.
