Fans were somewhat surprised when cameras failed to pick up Bianca Belair’s elimination of Bayley, who had entered the match at the number one slot, but it seems like we now have an explanation as to why.
PWInsider is reporting that Bayley wasn’t actually supposed to be eliminated as early as she was in the match, which is why the cameras didn’t actually pick up her elimination:
In asking about this, I was told the only person that went out a little earlier than originally planned was Bayley in the Women’s match and Rey was eliminated as planned.
There is no word on when Bayley was actually slated to be eliminated and if her early elimination greatly changed the original plans that WWE had for the match. Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any potential updates on the matter.
WWE is reportedly unclear about whether or not Bianca Belair is going to challenge for the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania after winning the women’s Royal Rumble last month.
