A new report has emerged which contradicts an earlier report that WWE is in talks with MLW to form a relationship with the promotion.
Dave Meltzer initially reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the sides are in talks working towards an agreement where lesser-used NXT talents would be able to work for MLW.
PWInsider now reports bluntly that: “In regard to rumors of MLW and WWE in discussions, there are no current talks ongoing”.
The Observer did note that another thing being considered is to do something similar but entirely under the WWE umbrella, which has been described in the past as basically a second-tier of NXT.
We’ll keep you posted with any more news regarding this situation.
