Here’s what happened after last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air following Miro beating Darby Allin for the TNT Title.
After losing the championship that he’d held for 186 days, Allin got on the mic and had some emotional words for the audience in Jacksonville.
Allin said:
“When I became TNT Champion, I told everybody it was the only championship that meant anything to me. And I mean that 100%. People ask me, ‘When are going to win the big one? When are you going to win the AEW (World) Championship’? I look them dead in the eye and said, ‘I don’t need that s**t. I need the TNT Championship’.
“I don’t need to collect any other belts from anywhere else in this world. I need the TNT Championship. And I guarantee you – every single one of you here – this is not the last time I am TNT Champion. Thank you for all the support. It means the world to me.”
It looks like Miro’s first challenger, probably at Double Or Nothing, will be Lance Archer, while Allin will team with Sting against Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky.
Neither of those matches are confirmed but they definitely seem likely given the way the show ended last night.
