It’s being reported that CM Punk, real name Phil Brooks, has officially retired from MMA after signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
As per MMAFighting, Punk has informed the UFC that he is done with mixed martial arts and is now a full-time professional wrestler.
Despite having not fought since 2018, Punk remained part of the UFC anti-doping program through 2020 and was tested six times that year.
He hasn’t been tested at all this year after informing the UFC of the news.
CM Punk makes his AEW in-ring debut and his first official pro-wrestling match in over seven-and-a-half years this coming Sunday at All Out as he faces Darby Allin.
He will also be making an appearance on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
