Former Ring of Honor (ROH) owner Cary Silkin has commented on Tony Khan’s announcement that he has acquired the promotion.
On Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, the AEW President revealed that he’s the new owner of ROH. Per Fightful Select (subscription required), only a very close circle knew the nature of Khan’s announcement ahead of time.
Silkin has since taken to Twitter with photos of himself an a number of notable AEW names, including Khan.
Believing that ROH is now in safe hands, Silkin tweeted:
Congrats to @TonyKhan and @AEWLive
At least I feel my baby is in good hands. What a long strange trip it’s been!!@ringofhonor

Silkin owned ROH from 2004 until the promotion was sold to Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2011.
A new report has revealed Tony Khan’s plans for ROH following his acquisition, which you can read about right here.
