A segment scrapped from last week’s WWE SmackDown show has been revealed.
AJ Styles was victorious in the SmackDown side of the tournament to crown the new World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Bobby Lashley to earn the shot at the title at Night of Champions.
On last week’s SmackDown, AJ was a guest on the SmackDown premiere episode of the Grayson Waller Effect, which was AJ’s only appearance on the show, but that may not have always been the case.
Fightful Select (subscription required), the OC were originally intended to film a backstage segment at the tapings, either for last week’s show or this week’s show which was taped last week, but the segment was nixed late in the afternoon.
Styles will be on next week’s show, when he takes on Karrion Kross in singles action.
