An update has emerged on CM Punk after he was spotted in Orlando earlier today, amid rumors that he’s pursuing a WWE return.
While it was heavily speculated that Punk would be returning to WWE following his AEW exit, a recent report indicated that WWE chose to turn Punk down.
Rumors about Punk being WWE-bound have once again been sparked by a new report from PWInsider which noted that the former WWE Champion has been spotted in Orlando alongside Ace Steel at the Universal Studios park.
This led to some people assuming that Punk would have been visiting the WWE Performance Center during his visit to Florida.
Punk being in Orlando has now been confirmed by Fightful Select. The report also confirmed that Fightful was told Punk has NOT been at the WWE PC.
It was noted that Punk is set to do commentary at Friday’s (October 13) Cage Fury Fighting Championship show which is in Tampa, Florida.
As for Ace Steel, he currently lives in Florida. Per Fightful, there were talks at one point about Steel opening a training facility with AEW in Florida, before he was released.
A former AEW star has revealed that Punk reached out to him after he announced his exit from the company, which you can read more about right here.
