WWE WrestleMania 40 weekend brings us NXT Stand & Deliver and it looks like a new match is being added to that card.
NXT Stand & Deliver takes place on April 6, 2024, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
So far, five matches have been announced with four NXT titles on the line.
Joe Gacy, however, wants to be added to the card and has reached out to Ava, NXT’s General Manager, to make it a reality.
Targetting Shawn Spears, Gacy tweeted about the upcoming PLE, saying:
“Deer @avawwe_, The Mayor of NXT, there are those who say I should maybe have a match with @ShawnSpears in Philadelphia! I mean that’s the city I grew up in!
“Even if it’s just the kick off I’d love to do this! YOU know how much I love the kick off show! 🙃”
It looks like Gacy may get his wish, as Ava responded by stating:
“That’s true. i’ll see what i can do 🌳”
Spears returned to WWE on the February 27 episode of NXT and targeted Ridge Holland, with Gacy recently taking an interest in him, including costing him his match with Dijak on this week’s NXT show.
Having sought to redeem himself over the past few months, Holland announced he was “stepping away from in-ring competition indefinitely” on the March 26 episode of WWE NXT with it being later reported that the announcement was “part of the larger story“.
