WWE has now had two rounds of releases this year, with one taking place in February and one taking place in May.

While there have been multiple NXT talents let go, there have been a number of main roster talents from Raw and SmackDown released as well.

Here are all 17 main roster stars who have been released by WWE this year.

17 . Braun Strowman

The biggest name out of all the WWE releases so far in 2025 is Braun Strowman.

Strowman, a former Universal Champion, has now been released by WWE for a second time – the first coming in 2021 before he returned around a year later.

In his last few months with the company, he was essentially utilized in the role of the veteran monster passing the torch to WWE’s newest monster in the form of Jacob Fatu.

Strowman’s last singles match was the Last Man Standing match that he lost to Fatu on April 4.
