Without a traditional WWE premium live event in September, Money in the Bank 2026 on Saturday, October 10 stands as the company’s next major event.

While there are some big shows between now and then such as: Sunday Night’s Main Event, WWE Raw in Mexico City on September 14 and AAA’s TripleMania 34 and Worlds Collide in Chicago, Money in the Bank should play host to a number of big matches.

Leaving out the event’s two titular ladder matches, here are five matches which could be announced for WWE Money in the Bank 2026:

Undisputed WWE Championship – CM Punk (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn cost Kevin Owens the Undisputed WWE Championship in Toronto on August 21, before also laying out CM Punk after the bell.

The much anticipated first-time meeting between CM Punk and Kevin Owens is now in the books, and despite the pair putting on an excellent match, it’s finish fell into the screwy category as many fans will have expected.

Sami Zayn took advantage of a downed referee Dan Engler to try and influence the outcome of the match, with the former Undisputed WWE Champion initially trying to aid his best friend Kevin Owens, before eventually turning on KO when he refused to use the WWE Title belt as a weapon on Punk.

Despite standing there and allowing Punk to then hit a GTS on Owens to retain his gold, Zayn made sure to also lay Punk out once the bell rung, as he stood tall over both men as SmackDown went off the air.

With Zayn’s cries for justice now no longer able to be ignored by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, as well as Punk and Owens, a three-way for the Undisputed WWE Title at Money in the Bank seems like a logical next step.

WWE United States Championship – Baron Corbin (c) vs. Trick Williams

Another development from the August 21 episode of SmackDown came when Baron Corbin and Trick Williams met with microphones in hand in Toronto.

With ‘Trick Willy’ calling for Corbin to stop ducking him and give him another shot at the United States Championship, Corbin countered by challenging Lil Yachty to his first-ever WWE match at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.

Corbin promised to give Trick Williams a future title shot if Yachty survives five minutes inside the ring with him in Atlanta, and while Corbin has been booked strong since returning to WWE, it feels highly unlikely WWE book this match if Yachty wasn’t to go the distance.

With Money in the Bank the next big WWE event after Sunday Night’s Main Event, it feels like a fitting stage for Corbin and Trick’s US Title rematch, where the younger star may very well also win back his gold.

Paige vs. Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella turned heel for the second time of her most recent WWE run at SummerSlam 2026.

At WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One, The Bella Twins turned heel on Paige after the trio’s loss to Fatal Influence.

Unfortunately during that match Brie Bella suffered a broken scapula, and it was evident during said heel turn that she was in a great amount of discomfort.

It’s unclear what WWE’s plans were going to be for Paige and The Bellas had Brie not gotten injured, however, Paige and Nikki seem set to continue their feud one-on-one in her absence.

Given that they’ve done little but address each other in pre-taped segments thus far, it feels like this feud may be a bit of a slow burner, so their first match coming in under two month’s time at Money in the Bank 2026 seems like a safe enough bet.

Steel Cage Match – Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

In what appears set to be the headline match at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will go one-on-one in a rematch from WrestleMania 42.

While both men’s ambitions beyond their feud is to re-enter the Undisputed WWE Title picture – with Randy Orton especially keen to win world title number 15 – it feels like their match at Sunday Night’s Main Event will be the second of what could end up being a trilogy.

Randy Orton winning in Cody’s home turf of Atlanta could set up a third bout between then in New Orleans at Money in the Bank, only this time a stipulation could be added.

WWE love blowing off feuds inside a Steel Cage and Orton vs. Rhodes III may be no exception. The winner of that match could then place themselves front and center in the Undisputed WWE Title conversation, challenging whoever walks out with the gold on October 10.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight

While the Undisputed WWE Title picture is stacked with talent, over on Raw there is one clear next challenger in waiting for Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship: ‘The Megastar’ LA Knight.

Knight has been calling Reigns and The Bloodline out all year, and now, after ‘The OTC’ dispatched Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, he’s finally taken proper notice.

But Knight isn’t alone in his war with The Bloodline, as Solo Sikoa denied the chance to join up with his family on this past week’s Raw August 17 in favor of remaining his own man and helping LA Knight take down Reigns and The Usos.

Question marks remain over Jacob Fatu’s status in the family after he didn’t attempt to help his family in that attack from Knight and Sikoa, but one thing that does seem clear is that Knight and Reigns are on a collision course for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.
