With an updated format for the tournament this year, there could end up being a unique Continental Cup winner eventually crowned Continental Champion at All In.

Here are six potential winners of the 2026 AEW Continental Cup.

Nigel McGuinness

With an entry into the 2026 Continental Cu, Nigel McGuinness could end up taking it all the way in the tournament.

While he might be well known in AEW for his time on commentary, the UK native has spent plenty of years in the ring as well.

Bringing compelling appearances in the past, McGuinness could end up becoming a sleeper hit to win the entire AEW Continental Cup.

Even hitting the finals could end up being historic – with the AEW All In return to London’s Wembley Stadium looming, Nigel could end up going all the way.

Jon Moxley

The current AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley could certainly find himself capturing the Continental Cup as well.

With Moxley’s impressive reign continuing as the current title holder, adding a big victory at AEW All In could prove to be an important point for the Death Riders leader.

Facing off in a first round showdown on AEW Dynamite on August 12, Moxley will take on Jack Perry.

Roderick Strong

Regarded as one of the best technical wrestlers in action today, Roderick Strong could end up becoming a surprising leader of the 2026 AEW Continental Cup.

However, there is a compelling first round bout in store for Strong as he is immediately set to take on fellow Conglomeration member, longtime friend and occasional rival, Kyle O’Reilly.

Set for AEW Collision on August 15, of the pair it could be Strong’s time to shine on the road to AEW All In.

Potentially set to create the most interesting storyline final if Strong ends up taking on Jon Moxley, the looming presence of Strong’s wife Marina Shafir – a member of Moxley’s Death Riders – could add a layer to the Wembley battle.

David Finlay

Already making an indelible mark on AEW since his arrival, David Finlay would use the opportunity to raise his profile to new heights in the company.

Striking out as a singles competitor, Finlay could be poised to show off an entirely new side in AEW.

Able to wow the crowd and his opponents from a technical perspective, bringing a new element to his violent character could be a result regardless of the final Cup winner.

However, there is a major score to settle in his first round bout against Jay White on AEW Dynamite August 12.

Orange Cassidy

One entrant in the tournament who could become a surprise leader in the end may be Orange Cassidy.

Already picking up a victory in the first round against Matt Sydal on AEW Collision on August 8, Cassidy could continue to succeed in the Continental Cup.

Potentially setting up a Conglomeration battle in future rounds against either Kyle O’Reilly or Roderick Strong, the former AEW Trios Champions could find themselves involved in a layered storyline on the path to All In.

Adding a layer of drama to his overall Cup victory, Cassidy could be the most intriguing option to win the tournament.

Jay White

After being out of action since a match in March 2025, Jay White is back in AEW with a vengeance.

Returning in July to rejoin the Bang Bang Gang, White could find himself becoming a force to be reckoned with in the 2026 AEW Continental Cup.

Named as an entrant in the tournament that’s now underway, White is first set to take on David Finlay on the August 12 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Able to go the distance, White could end up capturing a major victory in London to secure his latest major achievement since joining AEW.
