AEW could look to rebrand any number of stars in the coming weeks and months, particularly with the company’s biggest shows of the year around the corner.

With an expansive roster featuring plenty of big characters and personalities, every now and then talent may need a refresh in order to stand out from the crowd.

Here are six AEW stars that could be repackaged soon.

6. Mercedes Moné

One star that could make a return to AEW with a brand new attitude is Mercedes Moné.

While the absent Moné could come back as a babyface star, there could always still be a swerve coming down the line.

With the looming mystery of ‘Who Killed Toni Storm?’ in AEW, perhaps Moné’s fan favorite status will prove to have an expiration date for whenever Storm makes a return.

Possibly being revealed as the one who took out the beloved star, Moné could see multiple character reinventions over the next year.

5. Tommaso Ciampa

One AEW star that has made an immediate impact since signing in the promotion is Tommaso Ciampa.

After an enthralling as well are gruesome AEW World Championship bout against Darby Allin, Ciampa continues to wow fans in AEW.

While his “Psycho Killer” persona remains frightening, it could be that inevitably Tony Khan has to give the people what they want: an opportunity to cheer for Ciampa.

After recently teasing a potential rivalry with MJF, it could be that there is a new day coming soon for the former WWE star.

4. Deonna Purrazzo

One talent that could be re-packaged for a return to AEW TV could certainly be veteran Deonna Purrazzo.

While not competing on AEW TV, the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Champion has been busy taking on challengers in both ROH and on the indies including Indi Hartwell in House of Glory Wrestling

Bringing about a new persona for an appearance in AEW, there could certainly be a frightening alliance between Purrazzo, Athena and others to wage their own invasion angle on Dynamite and Collision.

While her run in ROH has been dominant, it feels as if AEW should be looking to feature her on a bigger stage soon.

3. Max Caster

While The Acclaimed didn’t see their storyline pay-off on AEW, there was a singles bout between the duo recently on the indies.

With Anthony Bowens beating Max Caster at WrestlePro X: 10 Year Anniversary Show last month, and then proceeding to join Samoa Joe’s The Opps faction, Max Caster’s future in AEW is in flux.

Caster has all the tools to find success and popularity on his own, whether that be resuming his popular Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge, or rebranding himself entirely.

Perhaps seeking to take his character in a more serious direction like Bowens now has, Caster’s best days in AEW may still be ahead of him.

2. Sammy Guevara

While originally touted as one of the four pillars of AEW, Sammy Guevara has been without a substantive push on AEW TV for quite some time.

Remaining in active competition on ROH, Guevara certainly could be a star that ends up coming back around with a new character or fresh motivation.

Potentially looking to reclaim his status and challenge for championships in AEW, Guevara could find himself back to babyface roots in lieu of continuing his alliance with dastardly heels.

With the recent return to TV of Chris Jericho, perhaps a reunion of Le Sex Gods is on the horizon in AEW.

1. Anna Jay

One AEW star that had been absent since November 2025, but recently made her return to AEW on the May 2 episode of Collision, is Anna Jay.

While Jay has recently confirmed that her contract is coming up with AEW, she herself noted that there wasn’t more to report on the story.

Potentially coming off the loss to Nightingale — who has proven to be a bit of a return killer as of late, beating Anna Jay, Kamille, Hikaru Shida and Queen Aminata in their return bouts — Anna Jay might be the perfect addition to join a babyface group with her real life partner, Jack Perry.

With Perry’s current character leaning heavily on being a rebel who travels in his mini bus with Luchasaurus, Anna Jay could make a solid third to Jurassic Express.
