Ahead of AEW WrestleDream 2026, Tony Khan asked Will Ospreay for what would be his dream match and his answer was a concept from his home independent promotion, EVE: Pro Wrestling.

Ospreay will now defend the AEW World Title in a Clockwork Carnage Match, which is an 8-Man, two stage matchup that will feature eliminations until all the participants enter and then it becomes a 15-minute Iron Man match to determine the winner.

With seven challengers, it should be interesting who will step up to face “The Aerial Assassin” in this unique stipulation.

Here are seven AEW stars to be potentially added to Clockwork Carnage at WrestleDream.

Samoa Joe

On the AEW All Out 2026 Tailgate Brawl pre-show, Samoa Joe made his return and immediately confront “Jungle” Jack Perry.

Now, Joe will face Perry in a Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match at AEW Grand Slam France.

While Perry has been looking to get his title shot, it feels like Joe should move on to give this bout a former two-time AEW World Champion.

Andrade El Idolo

While he has a guaranteed shot thanks to his Casino Gauntlet win, Andrade El Idolo could still find himself in Clockwork Carnage.

El Idolo has had his eyes on the AEW World Title since returning to the promotion.

This new stipulation could give Andrade a chance to capture the gold and dethrone his United Empire stablemate at AEW WrestleDream.

Gabe Kidd

Since Will Ospreay won the AEW World Championship, Gabe Kidd has been hellbent on taking him down.

Kidd has led the charge on Ospreay being in The Death Riders was a mistake and wants to eliminate him completely.

“The Mad Man” has hated Ospreay for years and could enter Clockwork Carnage at AEW WrestleDream to try to bring the AEW World Title back to The Death Riders.

Ricochet

On the AEW Dynamite – A Tribute To PAC, Will Ospreay defeated Ricochet in a non-title match.

Despite this loss, Ricochet could finally get his shot at the AEW World Championship in the Clockwork Carnage at WrestleDream 2026.

Considering his knowledge and experience against Ospreay, Ricochet may figure out a way to finally win the gold at this show on October 17.

Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita has been away from All Elite Wrestling over the past couple of months.

Since losing the AEW International Championship, Takeshita has been focused on his dealings outside of the company.

In this innovative stipulation like Clockwork Carnage, “The Alpha” has an excellent chance of finally getting the top prize in All Elite Wrestling at WrestleDream 2026.

MJF

After losing the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega, MJF put the blame for this loss on the back of Will Ospreay.

Following his loss in the Casino Gauntlet at All In London 2026, MJF once again vowed to get revenge on the reigning AEW World Champion.

Entering Clockwork Carnage, Maxwell Jacob Friedman could instantly have the opportunity to become a record-tying four-time AEW World Champion in Orlando.

Ilja Dragunov

The Clockwork Carnage Match could open the door for new stars to join AEW in a major way.

As a surprise entrant, it would make sense for All Elite Wrestling to have someone like Ilja Dragunov make his debut with the company.

Dragunov entering Clockwork Carnage at AEW WrestleDream 2026 would be massive and give this new stipulation an even more unpredictable feel.
