Britt Baker has been off AEW TV since November 2024, when she defeated Penelope Ford on an episode of Dynamite.

There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding her near two year absence, but AEW CEO Tony Khan has continued to praise Baker, saying that he’d like to see her return.

With some talk about the Rebel support show potentially playing host to Baker’s comeback, she could be back in action in the near future.

Here are six potential AEW return opponents for Britt Baker.

6. Serena Deeb

One of the most infamous memories of Britt Baker was her confrontation with Serena Deeb, during which Baker stated “nobody cares,” which perhaps rang a little bit too true and shouldn’t have actually been said on TV.

They did have a match on AEW Dynamite in October 2024 that Baker won, and Deeb hasn’t had a match on Dynamite since then either.

If everyone can get along, this could be the most heated way to bring Baker back and cause a buzz by calling back to the controversy that surrounded her prior to her absence.

5. Jamie Hayter

The peak days of Britt Baker in AEW saw her lead an alliance where she was joined by Rebel and Jamie Hayter.

It looked like Baker and Hayter would split up and end up in a feud with each other, but reports came out that they’d had a legitimate falling out and wouldn’t be able to work together.

Once again dependent on everyone getting along, perhaps AEW could circle back to their story as a way to reintegrate Baker.

4. Divine Dominion

During the time that Britt Baker has been away from AEW, the promotion has introduced the Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

Someone else who has largely been off AEW TV for mysterious reasons over the past couple of years is Deonna Purrazzo, who’s a close friend of Baker.

The promotion could look to bring them both back at the same time, as a duo, challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Title.

3. Willow Nightingale or Mercedes Mone

Willow Nightingale is the current AEW Women’s World Champion heading into All In London, where she defends against Mercedes Mone.

The winner of that match, whoever it may be, could find themselves confronted by Britt Baker afterwards if she makes her big return on the biggest possible stage – Wembley Stadium.

Baker and Mone had an infamous match at All In a couple of years ago, so they could either try to right that wrong, or, Baker could look to get the title off Nightingale instead.

2. Toni Storm

Another long-time AEW absentee in recent times has been multi-time Women’s World Champion Toni Storm.

Putting two returning stars against each other instantly, Baker and Storm could be a story of one trying to outdo the other in making their big comebacks.

Two of the faces of the AEW women’s division over the years, it could be one of the biggest women’s matches that the promotion could present if they both end up back on television soon.

1. Thunder Rosa

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa had one of the most memorable and significant matches in AEW history in March 2022.

That night saw Rosa win the title from Baker in the first AEW Dynamite women’s main event, and in a steel cage match no less.

Rosa is another name who hasn’t been featured prominently as of late, so this could be another way to call back to AEW’s history and also put the spotlight back on two of its biggest stars from a few years back.
