The August 19 edition of AEW Dynamite will be the second to last episode of the program before the All In London 2026 pay-per-view.

With the August 30 Wembley Stadium show fast approaching, All Elite Wrestling will looking to make some significant changes to Dynamite ahead of the event.

Whether it be title changes or upset wins, this week’s Dynamite might see the company undergoing adjustments for the better moving forward.

Here are seven potential changes to AEW Dynamite.

7. United Empire return to have Will Ospreay’s back against Don Callis Family

On the August 5 AEW Grand Slam Mexico event, Will Ospreay defeated Mark Davis in a Mexico City Street Fight.

Following this win, Don Callis confronted Ospreay during a promo segment and stated that his path to AEW All In London 2026 will be paved in blood.

This leads to the August 19 AEW Dynamite where Ospreay has called upon United Empire’s Francesco Akira and HENARE to team with him against The Callis Family’s El Clon, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle.

Making their first appearance since April, United Empire will be making an impact alongside Ospreay on August 19.

6. Nigel McGuinness’ AEW Continental Cup Cinderella story continues

The AEW Continental Challenge Cup is underway with the tournament culminating at All In London 2026.

While much of the focus of the tournament has been on the AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, Nigel McGuinness has established himself as someone to watch moving forward.

On the August 15 AEW Collision, McGuinness defeated Katsuyori Shibata to advance to the Continental Cup Quarterfinals. However, Nigel suffered an apparent injury in the process.

After confirming he will remain in the competition, McGuinness feels like the “Cinderella Story” of the C3 and someone who has a strong chance to make it to the Finals at Wembley Stadium.

5. Jon Moxley gets eliminated from the AEW Continental Challenge Cup

Jon Moxley has been wanting to test and prove himself as AEW Continental Champion.

This has seen Mox compete against whoever steps up in Continental Title matches and Eliminator bouts.

The four-time AEW World Champion has now put it all on the line in the Continental Challenge Cup tournament that will culminate at All In London 2026.

With his Quarterfinals match scheduled to be against Jay White on the August 19 AEW Dynamite, fans could see the first massive upset of the C3 if “Switchblade” overcomes Moxley here.

4. New TBS Champion is crowned

On the August 19 edition of AEW Dynamite, Maya World will defend the TBS Championship against Hikaru Shida, Persephone and Kris Statlander.

This bout can truly go anyway with four accomplished in-ring competitors going at it.

While World recently won the gold at AEW Redemption 2026, it does not seem certain she will enjoy a long reign with the title.

Maya losing the title to Shida, Persephone or Statlander would be a significant change on the road to AEW All In London 2026.

3. Mercedes Monè finally admits Willow Nightingale is in her head

In one of the biggest matches on the show, Willow Nightingale will defend the TBS Title against Mercedes Monè at AEW All In London 2026.

On the August 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, Monè and Nightingale will have an interview with Renee Paquette.

Based on the amazing quality of their first promo segment after AEW Redemption, fans are looking forward to hearing what Mercedes and Willow have to say to one another this week.

After her win to take the TBS Title at the end of 2025 and her recent six-woman tag loss, Monè needs to admit that Willow has her number and is in her head to set the stage properly for what could be one of the most important women’s matches in AEW.

2. The Young Bucks turn heel on Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

With less than two weeks before AEW All In London 2026, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are preparing to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks.

In what will be a dream match, The Bucks, Cope and Cage have all remained babyfaces on the road to Wembley Stadium.

However, the August 15 AEW Collision saw a very tense confrontation between the two teams.

After trading barbs backstage, The Young Bucks might need to show an edge to get the job done at AEW All In London 2026 and become record-breaking four-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.

1. Things reach a fever pitch between Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay on the road to AEW All In London 2026

The main event of AEW All In London 2026 will see Kenny Omega defend the AEW World Title against Will Ospreay.

On the road to this headliner, both Omega and Ospreay have shown signs of being a heel.

Whether it was Ospreay’s association with The Death Riders or Omega delivering the One Winged Angel on his former friend, it seems tensions are rising with days remaining before their title clash.

Omega and Ospreay turning things up to a fever pitch with their sitdown interview on the August 19 AEW Dynamite will only put this feud in a bigger spotlight with less than two weeks until All In London 2026.
