AEW
AEW’s biggest show of the year is set to take place next weekend as AEW All In heads to Wembley Stadium for the third time.
Most of the card has already been announced for the show, with two episodes of Dynamite left to go before we reach London.
However, we could see some late changes be made to the show.
Here are some changes that we could see be made to next weekend’s AEW All In London event at Wembley Stadium.
Swerve Strickland To Find Partners For AEW World Trios Championship
On last week’s AEW Dynamite show, the mystery about Swerve Strickland’s whereabouts came to an end, when he reappeared on Dynamite to confront the Trios Champions ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Brodido.
While nothing was confirmed due to the Demand also getting involved, it sure seemed as though the segment was setting up the Trios Championship match for All In, with Swerve finding two partners to face the Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
There has been a lot of speculation on just who Swerve could find, but even if it ends up not being those people and Swerve instead finds allies from the AEW roster, there are only two more Dynamites to get us there.
It’s hard to imagine either he or Hangman missing the show, so this will almost certainly be added to the card.
Women’s Casino Gauntlet Added To The Card
As we get closer to All In, there has still yet to be any announcement about a Women’s Casino Gauntlet match taking place at this year’s show.
Last year’s show featured both a men’s and women’s Casino Gauntlet match, with the match serving as a great way to get a lot of AEW’s talented women’s roster onto the card.
However, with just two Dynamites left before the show and the men’s match already filling up, it seems that if we are going to get a women’s match this year, it’ll be a late addition to the show.
Names such as Thekla, Athena, Kris Statlander and Maya World all deserve their spot on the show, as several potential cool surprise appearances.
FTR Return After AEW World Tag Team Championship Match
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage won the AEW World Tag Team Championship from FTR to close out their long rivalry back at Double or Nothing.
At the time of the match, fans believed that the victory would be setting up a Triangle Ladder match of some kind, with Cope and Cage defending against both FTR and the Young Bucks.
However, there has been no mention of FTR on the road to All In, with the match set to simply be Cope and Cage against the Young Bucks.
However, FTR may make an appearance once all is said and done, taking out whoever the winners are.
Sting Makes Appearance During Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight
Darby Allin is set for yet another crazy match to add to his AEW All In legacy this year, when he faces Kevin Knight in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
It’s hard to imagine just what a Falls Count Anywhere match entails for Darby Allin of all people, but the match will likely serve as a pseudo Stadium Stampede affair.
The Icon Sting previously appeared alongside Darby at both All In London events, and it would be a shame if that tradition ended this year.
Sting appearing to fend off members of the Don Callis Family would get a great reaction in London.
Stipulation Added To Mercedes Mone vs. Willow Nightingale
Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale have become eternal rivals during their AEW careers, with the latest chapter set to be written at All In London.
Willow and Mercedes’ previous encounters have been for the TBS Championship, with them now set to do battle over the Women’s World Championship in their biggest clash to date.
With this being the latest in a series of matches between the two, and the rivalry already hot, we could see the ante upped with a stipulation.
Mercedes has competed in a number of stipulation matches over her legendary career, and this would just be the latest.
Will Ospreay Adds ‘Never Challenges Again’ Stipulation To AEW World Championship Main Event
There has been a recent trend with AEW World Championship challengers in that they all seem to love putting their entirely livelihood on the line to get it.
Cody Rhodes and Hangman Adam Page lost their respective matches after adding the stipulation that they are never allowed to challenge again if they lost, while Kenny Omega would pick up the win in his.
With the story of Will Ospreay heading into All In being about whether he has that killer instinct, a great way to showcase that would be for Ospreay to potentially sacrifice everything if he is too afraid to pull the trigger.
This potentially being Ospreay’s one and only shot at fulfilling his dream would add a lot of stakes to the match.
