Final WWE star to join 946 ahead of WarGames: Who will be next to align with Royce Keys’ group after Carmelo Hayes?

Given the crazy events of the past few weeks, fans expected a big moment to close this week’s WWE Raw as 946 faced off with The Usos and Solo Sikoa in Bossier City.

However, few were anticipating that we’d see SmackDown’s Carmelo Hayes join Royce Keys’ side and play a crucial role in 946’s win.

With Hayes joining 946, not only does their strength grow but they also come closer to having a full squad for this year’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Unless WWE are planning a first mixed-gender WarGames with Jaida Parker involved, we should see one more name join forces with Royce Keys before we get to Houston on November 28.

Here are three candidates to be the final WWE star to join 946 ahead of WarGames.

Jacob Fatu

Until he was run down by Jaida Parker, many fans were convinced that Jacob Fatu would eventually be revealed as a member of the 946.

Fatu appeared to be conveniently absent from many of 946’s earlier attacks, but it turns out he was unknowingly waiting to be taken out in a far worse manner later down the line.

Fatu has been off TV since being run down, and it would be surprising to see him back until the build to WarGames begins.

While it certainly wouldn’t make much sense at all, wrestling storylines have had plenty of illogical twists in the past so it still feels as if there is a chance Fatu could join 946, either in the build to WarGames – so he can team with them against The Bloodline – or during the match itself, with Fatu shockingly stabbing his Tribal Chief in the back in Houston.

Saquon Shugars

Before Carmelo Hayes joined 946 there was certainly a strong case for Saquon Shugars being a future member, as he, like Hayes would have offered the group something different to what they already had: a more agile presence in the group.

Royce Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima are all very much of the same heavyweight mold, which definitely makes them a major threat to any other group in WWE, but it does mean they could get caught out if coming up against quicker opposition.

With Hayes now aboard it’s harder to see Shugars also join, but it also shouldn’t be ruled out either. Shugars isn’t as recognisable to the main roster audience as Hayes, so if he was to join they would have to probably introduce him a little differently, but there’s no denying he would be a great fit for the group.

He has that same grit that the group requires, and despite fairly unestablished as a singles star in NXT, he has the charisma and in-ring ability to make the jump to main roster sooner rather than later.

LA Knight

LA Knight is certainly not a fit for 946 in almost any way, but if we’re talking about a temporary ally for the group heading into Survivor Series, WWE could do a whole lot worse.

Knight was pretty dejected on Raw, unsurprisingly, after losing his big World Heavyweight Title match to Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank.

It’s truly hard to see where “The Megastar” goes from here, but one thing he shouldn’t do is just lay back and accept his slide back down to the mid-card.

Knight should be kept in the top storyline on Raw, and he could do so by stabbing Solo Sikoa in the back and aligning himself with 946 for WarGames. Knight reassured Solo that they were “good” on Raw, but it’s hard to believe that is actually the case.
