‘Showcase’ Matches Become Contender’s Matches

Two four-way tag-team bouts will take place on the Grandest Stage of them All, one featuring male stars, and the other seeing names from the women’s division square off.

Following the announcement of these WrestleMania Showcase bouts, many fans criticised the planned matches for their apparent lack of stakes.

It has now been hinted that these matches could officially become #1 contenders matches for each division’s respective tag-team title.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch has teased that she will be in action twice over WrestleMania weekend, so we could potentially see WrestleMania Showcase winners crowned on April 1, and tag title bouts on April 2.
