At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins.

If Reigns walks out of Minneapolis with the title, it should be interesting to see who will step up to “The OTC” next.

Coming off the heels of SummerSlam, there could be a variety of different competitors who will want to get the next crack at Reigns and want to dethrone The Bloodline.

Here are seven potential Roman Reigns WWE World Heavyweight Championship challengers after SummerSlam 2026.

7. Solo Sikoa

Following WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Solo Sikoa has found himself right back in The Bloodline drama and business.

After refusing to come home to the faction, Sikoa found himself alone with Tama and Talla Tonga choosing to leave The MFTs than deal with The Bloodline again.

Sikoa now finds himself in a position of being a babyface for the first time during his time on the WWE main roster.

With a six-man tag team match with LA Knight and Royce Keys against The Bloodline looming at SummerSlam 2026, Sikoa could be the one who knows Roman Reigns well enough to take the top prize on WWE Raw.

6. Royce Keys

Since signing with WWE in January 2026, Royce Keys has gone from strength to strength, growing in prominence on the company’s television.

The former Powerhouse Hobbs has received the spotlight thanks in large part to his relationship with The Bloodline outside of the squared circle and being trained by Rikishi.

This has led to Keys finding himself aligned with Solo Sikoa and LA Knight against Jacob Fatu and The Usos at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Keys coming out of SummerSlam to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship would be the biggest match of his career and see just where he stands against the best the industry has to offer.

5. Penta

Penta has been one of the fastest rising stars on the WWE roster since signing at the start of 2025.

With his high flying ability inside the ring and his natural charisma, Penta has been showcased as a must watch talent on the rise right now.

Now reigning as the Intercontinental Champion, the masked luchador has the chance to break through to the next level and become a main event player.

Penta challenging Roman Reigns would offer a brand new opponent for “The OTC” to bring up to his level and elevate a different star on the roster.

4. Chad Gable

Ever since being unmasked as The Original El Grande Americano, Chad Gable has been on an apology tour and making amends.

On a quest for redemption, Gable is also trying to accomplish the goals that he has set out for his career.

In a recent interview, the former Olympian revealed that he still believes that he will be a world champion in WWE one day.

Wanting to see how well he adapts to the main event scene, Gable would make for an intriguing challenger for Roman Reigns to work with in a major World Heavyweight Championship match after SummerSlam 2026.

3. LA Knight

There has been no one who has been more vocal about their displeasure over The Bloodline’s recent reunion than LA Knight.

“The Megastar” remains one of WWE’s most popular stars on the roster and could easily make for a formidable opponent for Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Back at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, Reigns defeated Knight to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Since then, it seems like Knight has been an enemy to the entire Bloodline.

Knight stepping up to face Reigns next would be fitting and something WWE has been building to for months now.

2. Brock Lesnar

At WWE WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar. Post match, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots, leaving them in the ring to signal his retirement from in-ring competition.

However, Lesnar made his return and has reignited the flame of his hostilities with Oba Femi to the point that they will face in Hell In A Cell at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

“The Beast Incarnate” is someone who is still viewed as a top star, so if he is able to defeat Femi inside the Cell, Lesnar might be in line for another shot at one of the world titles.

Reviving their past rivalry, Lesnar might be an ideal next contender for Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship coming off the heels of WWE SummerSlam 2026.

1. Oba Femi

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, Oba Femi defeated Jey Uso to win the King of the Ring Finals.

With this victory, Femi is now owed a shot at the world title of his choosing at the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.

Instead of going after one of the world champions, “The Ruler” has decided to face Brock Lesnar in Hell In A Cell at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Femi beating Lesnar could lead to him putting his sights back on Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship sooner rather than later.
