There has been some speculation about Trish Stratus’ WWE return, with the Hall of Famer last wrestling over a year ago.
Stratus returned for three matches in 2025, as part of her 25-year WWE career celebration. After entering the women’s Royal Rumble match in the 25th spot, Stratus teamed with Tiffany Stratton to defeat Nia Jax and Candice LeRae at Elimination Chamber the following month.
The WWE legend last wrestled at Evolution in July 2025, unsuccessfully challenging for Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Trish Stratus indicated that the timing and opportunity would have to be right for an in-ring return, stating that there are “a few boxes” she’d need to check if she was to make a comeback appearance.
Following Stratus’ comments about certain stars, there have been rumors swirling about potential plans for the Hall of Famer to step back into the ring.
From facing off against top stars to putting over rising competitors, here are three potential avenues for a Trish Stratus return.
Tag-team with Sol Ruca
Prior to officially joining the Raw brand in April, Sol Ruca made a statement at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025, defeating Bayley in singles action.
Following this match, Trish Stratus noted that she was “blown away” by Sol Ruca, having watched her live for the first time at this event.
With Trish Stratus previously indicating that her return would have to pay the business forward, it would make sense to see her take a future main-eventer like Sol Ruca under her wing.
With neither star having held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Stratus and Ruca winning the gold together while at different stages in their careers would present a fun dynamic.
Match against Rhea Ripley
During the Chris Van Vliet interview, Trish Stratus turned to the crowd and asked for suggestions while speaking about potential WWE dream matches.
Stratus acknowledged several suggestions, none more than Rhea Ripley, who she said she’d love a match against, and thinks she could take in a fight.
Rhea Ripley is currently out of action, recovering from knee surgery, having not wrestled since the June 3 non-televised house show in Portugal.
With uncertainty surrounding both Ripley and Stratus’ WWE futures, it would be fun to see both stars face off following their eventual returns.
Retirement match against Blake Monroe
With in-ring appearances becoming rarer and rarer for Trish Stratus, we could soon see her end her career with a flourish with a high-profile retirement match.
While there are a number of stars who Trish Stratus could stand across the ring from in her final match, an intriguing choice following a recent pitch would be Blake Monroe.
Speaking about the possibility of sharing the ring with Stratus, Monroe publicly pitched a female “Legend Killer” gimmick, naming the Hall of Famer, as well as the Bella Twins and Paige as potential victims.
With the former “Mariah May” yet to prove herself on the main roster, a feud with Trish Stratus would help to elevate Monroe to superstar level.
