Randy Orton is back on WWE TV and looks to be resuming his feud with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown off the back of their match at WrestleMania 42 in April.

In addition to his issues with Rhodes, Orton also still has an eye on the Undisputed WWE Championship which is currently held by CM Punk.

In an effort to get the better of Rhodes and then go on to capture his 15th WWE world title, Orton could look to assemble a faction around himself to elevate its members as well as himself.

Here are five WWE stars who could potentially join a new faction led by Randy Orton.

5. Birthright

Birthright began establishing themselves in NXT in early 2026

Birthright have established themselves in NXT as a group of multi-generation wrestlers who have a “birthright” to succeed in pro-wrestling.

The group is made up Brian Pillman’s son Lexis King, Fit Finlay’s son Uriah Connors, William Regal’s son Charlie Dempsey, Santino Marella’s daughter Arianna Grace, and Grace’s fiancé – thus Marella’s son in law – Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.

The nature of the faction has similarities to the Legacy group that was led by Orton in 2009, which was Bob Orton’s son Randy Orton, Dusty Rhodes’ son Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase’s son Ted DiBiase Jr.

Orton used Legacy to reign as WWE Champion back then, so perhaps he could look to do the same by working with Birthright all these years later.

4. Kam Hendrix

Kam Hendrix is the real life husband of WWE Raw star Maxxine Dupri

Kam Hendrix is another name from NXT that Randy Orton could potentially look to.

Hendrix feels like the typical mid 2000s talent that Vince McMahon would have called up and tried to give a major push.

Whether he’ll be a success in the current era remains to be seen, but he could potentially be brought in by Orton and play a role in a new Evolution-like stable.

Hendrix could easily fill the Orton or Batista role from the Evolution days, potentially setting up for a future push on his own.

3. Ricky Saints

Beyond NXT, a name already on the WWE main roster who could potentially be a good fit in a new group led by Randy Orton is Ricky Saints.

Saints got off to a half decent start on SmackDown but has petered away as of late, instead becoming a regular on WWE Main Event – which isn’t as bad as it used to be, but it’s still not ideal.

Saints could easily find a spot back on TV by backing up Orton – especially given his own history and relationship with Cody Rhodes.

2. Je’Von Evans

Someone who Randy Orton already has something of a history with is Je’Von Evans.

When NXT was repackaged in 2024, the brand held a show in St Louis that played host to Orton vs Evans in the main event.

It would be a nice full circle moment if things came around to Orton effectively becoming a mentor for Evans on WWE TV.

Of course, as things stand right now, Evans is a babyface and Orton is a heel, but if Orton ends up going back to being the wholesome babyface role, he could take Evans under his wing.

1. Myles Borne

Another protege that Randy Orton already has some history with is Myles Borne.

Borne – now a double champion in NXT holding both the North American Title and Tag Team Title with Tavion Heights – has drawn comparisons to Orton from the very start of his career due to his appearance.

However, the similarities are even there in the ring and the way Borne moves, the things he does. It’s all very Orton-esque.

There might be a risk that comes with playing into it too much, but it feels like we’re already at the point that it’s a prominent thing, so why not go all the way and have them form an alliance?
