WWE
With Royal Rumble 2027 being just a few months away, there have been rumors swirling about potential returns at the event.
With TKO previously announcing that next year’s Royal Rumble event will emanate from the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona in February, Fightful Select recently reported that sources believe that the premium live event will take place on the weekend of February 6.
The 30-person over-the-top-rope staggered entry battle royals typically feature a number of comebacks, from stars who have been off TV for a while, to those returning to the company altogether.
From Hall of Famers to wrestlers currently out of action due to injuries, there are several names who aren’t currently active on Raw or SmackDown who could make unannounced appearances in February.
Here are three stars who could return at WWE Royal Rumble 2027.
Brie Bella
Funnily enough, Brie Bella wrestled for the first time in four years in the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble match, which saw her kick off a full-time run with the company.
Brie Bella has been off TV for just over two months, after suffering a broken scapula in six-woman tag-team action at SummerSlam on August 1.
With Brie Bella stating at the time that she was expected to be out of action for three to six months, the Hall of Famer could be between one and three months away from stepping back into the ring, if her recovery is on schedule.
With Royal Rumble 2027 being four months away, we could see WWE hold off on bringing her back until the 30-woman over-the-top-rope bout.
Omos
While Omos hasn’t wrestled on Raw or SmackDown in over two and a half years, the Nigerian Giant has been active on AAA in Mexico.
Omos and Dominik Mysterio have both teased bringing their “El Ojo” alliance to the main roster in recent weeks, fuelling speculation about Omos potentially switching brands.
With Omos winning both the 2025 and 2026 Copa Bardahl battle royal matches, it would be fitting to bring the seven-foot star back to the main roster for the 2027 Royal Rumble.
This would be Omos’ first Royal Rumble appearance since the 2024 match, which saw him eliminate Bronson Reed from the bout.
Booker T
Following Booker T’s 42 second cameo in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, the Hall of Famer announced his retirement from wrestling, stating that he believed that would be the last time people would see him in the ring.
Booker T has since stepped back into the ring, facing off against Zilla Fatu in Reality of Wrestling on January 11, 2025.
With the NXT commentator recently teasing putting his boots back on and “slapping someone around a little bit”, there has been some talk among fans about a potential comeback for the 2006 King of the Ring winner.
A Royal Rumble return would allow Booker T to make a surprise appearance, while also teasing future bouts against rumored opponents.
