WWE Stars To Help Roman Reigns Against CM Punk At WrestleMania 42 WWE

At WWE WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

In the leadup to this showdown, Punk has questioned Reigns’ ability to get the job done without the help of The Bloodline or The Shield.

Heading into this main event matchup, it seems like “The OTC” might need an assist to capture the top prize on Monday Night Raw.

Here are seven WWE stars to potentially help Roman Reigns against CM Punk at WrestleMania 42.

7. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

During the road to WrestleMania 42, CM Punk took things to a personal level in his feud with Roman Reigns when he invoked the name of his rival’s late father.

This led to The Usos confronting Punk and demanding an apology for his disrespect of their family.

Then, Jey Uso called the shot for Reigns to attack Punk and drive him through the commentary table with a powerbomb.

Mania could be the site for a Bloodline reunion where The Usos help Reigns get the win over Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

6. Sami Zayn

Back in 2022, Sami Zayn wanted to join forces with The Bloodline and prove himself to the members of their Samoan dynasty.

Becoming The Bloodline’s “Honorary Uce,” Zayn became a full fledged member of the popular faction.

As of late, Zayn has been receiving more of a negative reaction from the fans after defeating Carmelo Hayes to win the United States Championship to take his spot on the WrestleMania 42 card.

Zayn could show his loyalty to “The OTC” by helping Reigns capture the World Heavyweight Championship, which could help his road to that same goal following “The Show of Shows.”

5. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has a lengthy history with both Roman Reigns and CM Punk that has spanned the past few years.

McIntyre suffered a loss to Reigns at WWE Clash At The Castle 2022 that led to his attitude change and heel turn.

However, McIntyre’s Hell In A Cell war with Punk changed the entire landscape of his career.

Helping Reigns would be an interesting move for McIntyre, but it would show his hatred for Punk is even greater than his disdain for “The OTC.”

4. Solo Sikoa

When he first made his main roster debut, Solo Sikoa joined The Bloodline as the enforcer of the group.

Sikoa has since turned against Roman Reigns and eventually started his own stable known as The MFTs.

Alongside Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga and JC Mateo, Sikoa has been one of the most prominent groups on Friday Night SmackDown.

Despite his status as The MFTs leader, Solo could choose family over everything and play a pivotal role in helping Roman get his place back at the mountaintop of WWE at WrestleMania 42.

3. Seth Rollins

Another former stablemate of Roman Reigns who could become an ally once again may just be Seth Rollins.

Over the past decade, Reigns and Rollins have found themselves at odds more often than not.

The former Shield brethren have vowed to never work together in any capacity, but CM Punk has become the biggest thorn in both men’s sides.

Choosing Punk as the greater evil, Rollins could come in clutch, helping Reigns take the World Heavyweight Championship from “The Best In The World” at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2. Pat McAfee

On the April 3 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Pat McAfee was revealed as Randy Orton’s mystery caller who has helped him realize his true self against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42.

Following his disparaging words about the state of WWE and the low ticket sales for WrestleMania 42, CM Punk cut a scathing “Pipebomb” promo, calling out McAfee and TKO to “lower the ticket prices.”

In response, McAfee called out Punk for being a hypocrite and accepting the TKO merchandise check, while bemoaning WWE’s parent company for the ticket prices.

Now being an enemy to Punk, Reigns could get a key assist from McAfee to help him dethrone “The Second City Saint” for the World Heavyweight Championship at “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

1. The Rock

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, The Rock made his return to WWE and eventually joined forces with Roman Reigns in The Bloodline.

“The Final Boss” and “The OTC” teamed to pick up a win over Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the main event of Mania 40 Night One.

Since then, The Rock has not been seen after assisting John Cena in his heel turn against Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025.

The Rock making another return to WWE could see him reuniting with Reigns to give him the upper hand over CM Punk in their World Heavyweight Title showdown at this year’s WrestleMania 42.
