Former WWE and AEW producer Ace Steel was recently let go from AEW following CM Punk’s termination from the company.
Steel was initially fired from AEW in the fallout of the AEW All Out media scrum in 2022, before being quietly brought back into the fold ahead of Punk’s return and the Collision launch in June.
Steel had been working remotely, serving as a producer for Punk’s segments and matches, before he was also let go from the company after Punk’s firing on September 2.
Per PWInsider, Steel’s next move in wrestling has been revealed, as he is set to serve as a producer for IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory event in Chicago.
One source noted that Steel was set to have a ‘tryout’ as a producer for the show, with it being noted that IMPACT wanted to bring him in before he returned to work for AEW.
Now that Steel is again free from AEW, IMPACT reached out to him to offer the same opportunity.
With Bound For Glory taking place in Chicago, and Steel now working the show, there has been speculation that Punk could ultimately land in IMPACT Wrestling, with the company reported to have reached out to Punk following his AEW firing.
