Bryan Danielson has now made a surprise wrestling appearance, appearing in a ring for the first time since his AEW World Championship loss.

With Danielson not wrestling since October 2024, the popular star showed up at an in-ring show this weekend amid speculation about his next move.

The former AEW World Champion appeared at ACTION DEAN~!2 on May 24, the first of two tribute shows for Dean Rasmussen announced in collaboration with AEW.

Danielson made his entrance before stepping into the ring and hugging Blue Panther.

He then took to the mic and talked to the crowd. During this promo, Danielson praised Adam Priest, noting that he believes he’s the best independent wrestler in the US.

Danielson hasn’t wrestled since losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at the October 2024 WrestleDream event, marking the end of his full-time wrestling career.

Discussing the possibility of a return to the ring, Danielson previously noted that there’s not no chance, but he wants to be able to live comfortably with his wife and kids, and his neck is “wrecked”.
